Baseball Preview: Jefferson Area Falcons vs. Edgewood Warriors

Jefferson Area and Edgewood are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Falcons will take on the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson Area will be strutting in after a win while Edgewood will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Jefferson Area made easy work of Conneaut and carried off an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Logan Saksa was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Tate Hudson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Jefferson Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conneaut only managed seven hits.
