On Wednesday, Miami Valley escaped with a win against Emmanuel Christian Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 48-47.
Preslei Copper continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Miami Valley's points. Celia Mendez-Sanchez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Miami Valley's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Miami Valley won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played on Wednesday, slipping by Emmanuel Christian Academy 48-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miami Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
