Basketball Recap: Easton Hupp's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Liberty Christian over John Paul II

Liberty Christian lost against John Paul II back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Liberty Christian Warriors fell 94-81 to the John Paul II Cardinals. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (66), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Easton Hupp, who went 8-for-20 on his way to 26 points along with five assists and five boards. Hupp's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points. Brandon Lohmann was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and eight assists.

Liberty Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 18-18 record this season. As for John Paul II, their victory bumped their record up to 20-16.

As of now, neither Liberty Christian nor John Paul II have any future games scheduled.
