Softball Recap: Watertown's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Watertown was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Waunakee on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Goslings fell just short of the Kenosha Bradford Red Devils by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The contest marked the Goslings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Watertown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Howlett, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Another was Breanna Meracle, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Watertown fell to 4-1. As for Kenosha Bradford, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Watertown will head out on the road to face off against DeForest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kenosha Bradford, they will welcome Whitnall at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
