Bloomington is a perfect 10-0 against Peoria since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Purple Raiders will welcome the Lions at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloomington has eight straight victories, Peoria has 28 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Bloomington made easy work of Urbana and carried off a 9-2 win.

Meanwhile, Peoria fell victim to Normal West and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 19-0.

Bloomington's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Peoria, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Bloomington took their victory against Peoria in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-0 score. Do the Purple Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
