Basketball Recap: First Assembly Christian Comes Up Short

First Assembly Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx 79-44. The Crusaders were down 65-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

First Assembly Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kylan Alexander, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Goss, who had six points and five rebounds.

Lausanne Collegiate found their leader in freshman Zuri Mcclure, who went 12 of 17 en route to 31 points in addition to five boards and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcclure has scored all season. Marion Brewer was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten assists.

First Assembly Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Lausanne Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Assembly Christian has already played their next match (against Evangelical Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lausanne Collegiate will host Harding Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lausanne Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.
