Volleyball Recap: Prairie Heights Panthers vs. Fremont Eagles
Prairie Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Fremont Eagles. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Fremont scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19.
Avery Certain paced Prairie Heights' offense, picking up 14 kills. Certain got some help from Bailey DeLancey and her 22 assists. Addison Wells controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Prairie Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Fremont, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-14.
Prairie Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Culver Academies on the 27th. As for Fremont, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lakeland on the 30th.
