Volleyball Recap: St. Anne's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

St. Anne can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Southland College Prep 2-1. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Southland College Prep, too.

St. Anne was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (65-64), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-20, 14-25, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Anne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tatum Kirkland, who had seven digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Kirkland a new career-high in assists (13). Another player making a difference was Quinlin Kirkland, who had five digs and three aces.

St. Anne's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Southland College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

St. Anne will venture away from home to take on Morgan Park Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southland College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
