Basketball Game Preview: Bacon County Raiders vs. Thomasville Bulldogs

The Bacon County Raiders will head out to face off against the Thomasville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Bacon County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Worth County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

Despite the loss, Bacon County had strong showings from Makayla Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds, and Marnay'Jah Reynolds, who posted 18 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 20 games she's played dating back to last season. Macie Holton was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thomasville). They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 win over Fitzgerald on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Thomasville now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Bacon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Bacon County came up short against Thomasville in their previous meeting back in January, falling 42-38. Can Bacon County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
