Softball Recap: Peebles Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Peebles can now relate to. They fell just short of the Dawson-Bryant Hornets by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Peebles' loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Dawson-Bryant, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Peebles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dawson-Bryant, they will square off against Portsmouth West on Wednesday. The Senators will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
