Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Luling

The Liberty Panthers will square off against the Luling Eagles at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Liberty's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Columbus as they made off with a 4-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Liberty needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Luling). They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Rice Consolidated on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Luling.

Luling's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Liberty, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
