Football Game Preview: Electra Tigers vs. Wheeler Mustangs

The Electra Tigers will square off against the Wheeler Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Electra has given up an average of 31.3 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Electra will head out to face Wheeler after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Tigers lost 46-20 to Haskell.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Wheeler and Shamrock had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs breezed past the Irish to the tune of 46-7 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Wheeler's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points over those games. As for Electra, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-5.

Electra took a serious blow against Wheeler when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 44-14. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
