Basketball Recap: Tristan Etienne Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Greenacres Christian

After only 30 points in their last matchup, FAU High made sure to put some points up on the board against Greenacres Christian on Tuesday. The Owls walked away with a 68-57 victory over the Panthers. This was payback for the Owls, who suffered an 87-75 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead FAU High to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Etienne, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards gave Etienne a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Antonio Mitkov, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Greenacres Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was JayQuan Robinson, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 16 points and three steals. Rahmello Makonnen was another key player, shooting 45% from the field en route to 14 points.

The win got FAU High back to even at 1-1.

FAU High didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-49 defeat against Jupiter Christian on the 20th. As for Greenacres Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 57-54 loss against Forest Hill on the 21st.
