Montverde Academy transfer Saniya Hall tops Class of 2026 while Aaliyah Chavez of Monterey remains No. 1 in Class of 2025.

The daughter of a former NBA player took a significant jump in the latest high school girls basketball rankings by ESPN HoopGurlz.

Kate Harpring of Marist (Atlanta, Ga.) rose to No. 2 in the newly-released Class of 2025 rankings. She sits behind Saniyah Hall, who transferred to Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) recently.

Hall jumps from third to No. 1 while Jerzy Robinson of Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) dips to No. 3.

Harpring, whose father Matt Harpring played 11 years in the NBA, averaged 27.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.7 steals and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 58 percent from the field in 2023-24. She finished the season with more than 1,500 career points, the fastest in school history to reach that milestone. She was lights out over the weekend while being named the MVP of the inaugural Overtime Select tournament.

Aaliyah Chavez of Monterey (Lubbock, Texas) continues to be the top-ranked player from the Class of 2025. Last year's MaxPreps National Junior of the Year has more than two dozen offers, among them Texas, LSU, South Carolina and UCLA. Chavez averaged 37.8 points last year for the 31-6 Plainsmen and had a phenomenal summer on the club circuit.

Sienna Betts of Grandview (Aurora, Colo.) is No. 2 in the senior class. The UCLA commit averaged 22.5 points and 15.6 rebounds for the 14-11 Wolves. Jazzy Davidson of Clackamas (Ore.) is No. 3 while Agot Makeer is No. 4 in the Class of 2025. Makeer transferred to Montverde after spending last year in Canada with Crestwood Prep.

Last year's MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year, Kaleena Smith of Ontario Christian (Ontario, Calif.), remains atop the Class of 2027 rankings with Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka of Bullis (Potomac, Md.), Haylen Ayers of University School of Jackson (Jackson, Tenn.) and Jordyn Palmer of Westtown (West Chester, Pa.) behind her.

Smith averaged 34.9 points, 6.5 assists, 4.2 steals and 3.5 rebounds per game, leading Ontario Christian to a 28-5 record with four of the five losses coming against nationally-ranked opponents.
