Basketball Recap: Tulia Falls Despite Big Games from Julius Johnson and Zaiden Jalomo

Tulia suffered their biggest loss since November 22nd on Saturday. They came up short against the Morton Indians, falling 72-51. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Tulia's loss came despite strong showings from Zaiden Jalomo and Julius Johnson. Jalomo went 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points and five steals, while Johnson went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nic Carrasco, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Tulia and nudges their season record down to 11-9. As for Morton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Tulia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-59 loss against Whitharral on the 28th. As for Morton, they will square off against Klondike at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
