Soccer Recap: Macomb Takes a Loss

Macomb lost against Orion/Sherrard back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bombers came up short against the United, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Macomb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Orion/Sherrard are ranked 103rd).

Macomb's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for Orion/Sherrard, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Macomb will face off against Monmouth-Roseville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orion/Sherrard, they will take on Davenport West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
