Basketball Recap: Huntington Takes a Loss

Huntington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 32-27 to the Prairie City Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Locomotives of the 32-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Huntington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Prairie City, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntington will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jordan Valley at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Prairie City, they will welcome Four Rivers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
