Basketball Game Preview: Castle Rock Rockets vs. Stevenson Bulldogs

The Castle Rock Rockets will head out to take on the Stevenson Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, everything went Castle Rock's way against Fort Vancouver as Castle Rock made off with a 49-28 victory.

Dakota Davis was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards. Davis is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Sophia Buchanan was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Stevenson hadn't done well against La Center recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Stevenson walked away with a 45-37 win over La Center.

Castle Rock's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for Stevenson, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Everything came up roses for Castle Rock against Stevenson when the teams last played on January 10th, as the team secured a 54-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Castle Rock since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
