West Valley faced Wasilla in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolf Pack took down the Warriors 27-13. The Wolf Pack have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Despite the loss, Wasilla still got an impressive performance from Brandon Wadleigh, who rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. Wadleigh was even better on defense, picking up two sacks and making ten total tackles (2.5 for loss). Adam Corneliussen also helped out with an impressive 95 receiving yards.

The win got West Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Wasilla, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, West Valley will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against West Anchorage at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wasilla, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
