Soccer Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs vs. Dixie

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Dixie Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Crimson Cliffs sitting on five straight wins and Dixie on nine.

Crimson Cliffs' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Snow Canyon. Give Crimson Cliffs' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Dixie made easy work of Cedar on Tuesday and carried off a 7-0 win. Considering Dixie have won five games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Cedar from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Alex Sarabia led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Dixie's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five contests. As for Crimson Cliffs, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
