Soccer Game Preview: Providence vs. Ballantyne Ridge + Official Tickets

The Providence Panthers will face off against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence will be strutting in after a win while Ballantyne Ridge will be coming in after a defeat.

Providence is headed into the matchup having not lost since September 25 and will look to keep things rolling. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over Palisades on Tuesday. Given Providence's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Palisades are ranked 175th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ballantyne Ridge didn't have quite enough to beat Ardrey Kell on Tuesday and fell 2-1. Ballantyne Ridge haven't had much luck with Ardrey Kell recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Providence has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those 12 matches. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-3.

Providence took their victory against Ballantyne Ridge in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 5-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
