Soccer Recap: Grace Christian Takes a Loss

Grace Christian's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors by a score of 1-0. Grace Christian were not able to make up for their loss to Southwest Virginia Academy from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Grace Christian was without their leading scorer, Caleb Erdman, in Monday's matchup. With Erdman sitting this one out, Clark Wells got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 42.5).

Grace Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Southwest Virginia Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Grace Christian is taking a road trip to challenge Virginia Episcopal School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest Virginia Academy, they will welcome Westover Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Virginia Academy's defense better be ready for this one: Westover Christian Academy have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
