Basketball Game Preview: Kenesaw Blue Devils vs. Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals

Kenesaw is 2-7 against Doniphan-Trumbull since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kenesaw Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Kenesaw took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 victory over Shelton.

Kenesaw's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jravin Suck led the charge by putting up 11 points. Adam Denkert was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Doniphan-Trumbull's strategy against St. Cecilia on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Doniphan-Trumbull blew St. Cecilia out of the water with a 74-25 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cardinals had established a 32 point advantage.

Kenesaw's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Kenesaw took a serious blow against Doniphan-Trumbull in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 64-23. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kenesaw was down 33-8.
