Recap: Balboa School vs. Potter's House Christian Lions
Even though the Potter's House Christian Lions scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, Balboa School still came out on top. Balboa School walked away with a 73-64 victory over Potter's House Christian. Given Balboa School's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 24th in California, while Potter's House Christian is ranked 216th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Balboa School to victory were Promise Otunu and Fernando De Los Santos. Otunu dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, while De Los Santos scored 18 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Otunu has scored all season. Travis Musonda was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two blocks.
Balboa School is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Potter's House Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.
Balboa School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-69 win vs. Varsity Opponent on the 10th. Potter's House Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
