Basketball Game Preview: Culpeper County Blue Devils vs. Chancellor Chargers

The Culpeper County Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Chancellor Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Culpeper County came up short against Caroline on Friday, falling 69-47. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Chancellor had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past King George with a 58-53 win on Friday.

Culpeper County better keep an eye on Larell Edwards. He was instrumental in Chancellor's win, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. The contest was Edwards' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jarmaine Burkett, who posted seven points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Chancellor's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Culpeper County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Culpeper County was dealt a bruising 67-33 defeat at the hands of Chancellor in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Culpeper County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
