Softball Recap: North Valley Comes Up Short

North Valley and South Umpqua squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but North Valley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lancers, falling 15-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since April 29th.

North Valley dropped their record down to 11-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for South Umpqua, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lancers beat North Valley by a score of 15-5 later that day.
