Bluffton came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against May River, but Brooke Dalton wouldn't allow it. The May River Sharks snuck past the Bluffton Bobcats with a 40-34 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Dalton, who went 9-for-20 on her way to 22 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Despite the defeat, Bluffton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amirah Brown posted 19 points along with seven boards and four blocks. That was a full 55.9% of Bluffton's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tamyra Bolden, who earned five points and three steals.

The victory got May River back to even at 9-9. As for Bluffton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.

May River will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bluffton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
