Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lowell couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Williams Yellowjackets who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Williams Yellowjackets got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Lowell Cardinals' two. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Lowell's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Williams, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 14-1 record this season.
