Volleyball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Olympic Trojans. While the Redhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-21 in the first set.

Monroe started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-19.

Tayler Walker paced Monroe's offense, picking up eight kills. Walker got some help from Lexi Walton and her six assists. Jordan Sikorski controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Olympic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Monroe will take on Union Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympic has already played their next matchup (against Cox Mill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
