Basketball Game Preview: Bainbridge Bearcats vs. Dougherty Trojans

The Bainbridge Bearcats will face off against the Dougherty Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bainbridge is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Bainbridge came up short against Colquitt County and fell 49-41. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Packers are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, Dougherty also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Westover by a score of 60-48.

Bainbridge now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Dougherty, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Bainbridge skirted past Dougherty 70-67 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Does Bainbridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dougherty turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
