It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mars Hill Bible had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors 70-14. Fans of the Panthers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Hudson Higgins had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Jessie Parker was another major influence, as he rushed for 64 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mars Hill Bible was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Although Whitesburg Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Emerson White and Henry Nuwayhid.

Mars Hill Bible's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, Mars Hill Bible will take on Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Pirates will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Whitesburg Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
