The Katy Tigers will head out on the road to  square off against  the Seven Lakes Spartans  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Seven Lakes took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Katy, who comes in off a win.

Katy extended their  winning streak to three games  thanks to a huge performance from  Avery St. Amant. The Tigers walked away with  a   3-1  win over Cinco Ranch  on Tuesday for which the team can thank  St. Amant, who  had 23  digs and five  assists. She has been hot recently, having  posted ten or more  digs the last three times she's  played.
 Katy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 26-24, 25-19,  25-23.
Meanwhile, Seven Lakes didn't have quite enough to beat Cinco Ranch on Friday and fell  3-2.
 Seven Lakes took Cinco Ranch into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 24-26, 23-25, 25-23,  15-8.
 Katy will have to contain  Emma Sabelli as she made an impact in Seven Lakes' last game. She  had 21  digs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ani Reyes, who  had 16 assists and 12  digs.
 Seven Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Katy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-17.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Friday's  match:  Katy has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 5.7  aces per game. However, it's not like Seven Lakes struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 6.2  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Katy couldn't quite get it done against Seven Lakes in their previous meeting  back in September as they fell  3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
