Volleyball Recap: Cypress Creek Takes a Loss

Cypress Creek lost against Lake Nona back in October of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Lake Nona's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Tome, who had five assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Tome a new career-high.

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lake Nona, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek will venture away from home to face off against Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Nona, they will head out to square off against Windermere at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
