Softball Game Preview: Highland Rams vs. Auburn Eagles

The Highland Rams will head out to face off against the Auburn Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Highland didn't have quite enough to beat Narrows and fell 5-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Auburn suffered their closest defeat since April 28, 2025 on Monday. They fell just short of Giles by a score of 6-4. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Ariel Mullins and Addison Earley did some serious damage despite the final result: Mullins went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple, while Earley went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That triple was Mullins' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Wimmer, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, Auburn fell to 20-1. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
