The Randleman Tigers will head out to  face off against the Pinecrest Patriots  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Randleman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5  runs per game  this season.
Randleman will bounce into Thursday's   match after  beating Uwharrie Charter Academy, who they had gone 0-8 against in their eight prior meetings. Randleman walked away with  an   8-3  win over Uwharrie Charter Academy  on Friday.
 Kinzie Ivey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Lilah Covington, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Addyson Dees was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Pinecrest was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They lost  18-4 to Union Pines.
 Pinecrest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Leah Gordon, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-3. Another  was  Kaiya Todd, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 Pinecrest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Randleman, their record now sits at 8-3.
 Randleman couldn't quite finish off Pinecrest when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 and fell  5-3. Can Randleman avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
