Volleyball Recap: Norwich Free Academy Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Norwich Free Academy challenged Bacon Academy on Thursday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won five in a row.

Norwich Free Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-17.

Petra Berry paced Norwich Free Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Berry got some help from Savannah Guernsey and her 34 assists. Alivia Bialowas controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

The victory got Norwich Free Academy back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwich Free Academy will head out to take on Warde at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bacon Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodstock Academy at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th.
