Softball Game Preview: LaVergne Wolverines vs. Cookeville Cavaliers

LaVergne is 0-3 against Cookeville since April of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Wolverines will welcome the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

LaVergne is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game two weeks ago. They came up short against Central Magnet, falling 21-10.

Meanwhile, Cookeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-1 to Stewarts Creek.

Cookeville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kali Webb, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

LaVergne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Cookeville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
