Basketball Game Preview: Brookwood Broncos vs. North Gwinnett Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Brookwood Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brookwood took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They strolled past Duluth with points to spare, taking the game 58-41.

Meanwhile, North Gwinnett didn't have too much trouble with Duluth on Tuesday as they won 49-30. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Gwinnett is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Brookwood, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Brookwood strolled past North Gwinnett in their previous meeting on January 7th by a score of 50-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
