Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Metamora Redbirds. The Railsplitters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Metamora, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-13 record this season.

Lincoln will be playing at home against New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Metamora, they are taking a road trip to face off against Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
