Volleyball Recap: Spring Woods Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sterling on Friday, Spring Woods came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Heights Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Spring Woods sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-7.

Spring Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record this season.

Spring Woods will take on Fort Bend Kempner at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heights, they will face off against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
