Volleyball Recap: Spring Woods Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jasmine Rodriguez and Adriana Castro

If Spring Woods was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sterling on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Heights Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Spring Woods sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-7.

Despite the defeat, Spring Woods had strong showings from Adriana Castro, who had nine digs and eight aces, and Jasmine Rodriguez, who had 20 digs and two aces. Castro is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Spring Woods' loss dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won 18 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record this season.
