Basketball Recap: Cobre Triumphs

Silver came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Cobre, but Zavin Guck wouldn't allow it. The Cobre Indians walked away with a 66-54 victory over the Silver Fighting Colts on Tuesday thanks in part to Guck, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. The game was his 19th in a row with at least ten points.

Noah Rodriquez was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Cobre's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Silver, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.

Cobre didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-57 defeat against Tularosa on the 30th. Silver has also already played their next matchup, a 69-40 victory against Socorro on the 30th.
