Football Recap: Towers Falls Short of Gordon Lee in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Towers can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 41-10 loss at the hands of the Gordon Lee Trojans. The Titans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Quaricus Hurley threw for 96 yards on only nine passes. Jameel Hector was his top target, picking up 70 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gordon Lee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dustin Day, who threw for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. A healthy portion of Day's aerial production (94 yards to be exact) went to Garrett Ross, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Towers' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Gordon Lee, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Towers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gordon Lee, they will be playing at home against Elbert County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
