Basketball Recap: Vinal RVT Makes It Four in a Row at Home

On ThursdayO'Brien RVT kept up with Vinal RVT until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Vinal RVT Hawks were the clear victor by a 67-47 margin over the O'Brien RVT Condors. While the Hawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Despite the loss, O'Brien RVT still got an impressive performance from Garrett Johnson, who posted seven points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Landon Weller, who scored nine points and six assists.

Vinal RVT pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for O'Brien RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coincidentally, Vinal RVT and O'Brien RVT will both be playing Wilcox RVT the next time they take the court. Vinal RVT will head out to face Wilcox RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while O'Brien RVT will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
