Softball Recap: Silverado Takes a Loss

Silverado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Green Valley Gators, falling 17-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Skyhawks of the 19-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Silverado saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Bunce, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Bunce hit this season. Another was Malia Pacheco, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Silverado's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Green Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will welcome Arbor View at 3:30 p.m. on the 8th. As for Green Valley, they will host Bishop Gorman at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Gorman's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Green Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
