Football Recap: Rocklin Takes a Loss

Rocklin fell victim to Oak Ridge and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 25-0 to the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Trojans are ranked 53rd).

Rocklin's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Ellie Henderson and Leila Meeks, who each picked up one interception apiece.

Among those leading the charge was Laurel Smart, who picked up 43 receiving yards and two TDs.

Rocklin now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Oak Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Rocklin has already played their next game (against Davis Sr.), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oak Ridge also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against St. Francis.
