Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Comes Up Short

Copper Hills lost against Corner Canyon back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Grizzlies lost 3-0 to the Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Grizzlies have suffered since November 7, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9, 25-8.

Phoebe Jensen paced Copper Hills' offense, picking up four kills. Jensen got some help from Paige Jensen and her seven assists.

Leading Corner Canyon to victory were Torri Hildebrandt and Annmarie Mejbon. Hildebrandt had six digs and three aces, while Mejbon had seven digs and one assist. The dominant performance also gave Hildebrandt a new career-high in assists (five).

This is the second loss in a row for Copper Hills and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Corner Canyon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Copper Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Bingham on the 2nd. As for Corner Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against West on the 2nd.
