Softball Recap: Franklin Road Academy Panthers vs. The Webb School Feet

Franklin Road Academy can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They put the hurt on The Webb School Feet with a sharp 16-4 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Franklin Road Academy needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Millie Pardue made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Pardue has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 15 consecutive pitching appearances. Pardue was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run, three runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Breyannah Williams was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Madeline Hartleroad, who scored four runs while going 4-for-4.

Franklin Road Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for The Webb School, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
