It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jayton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Gordon Longhorns with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. The victory was nothing new for the Jaybirds as they're now sitting on 13 straight.

Jayton's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Gordon, their loss dropped their record down to 21-4.

Looking ahead, Jayton will take on Irion County on Monday. Irion County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Jayton likes a good challenge. Gordon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
