Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Cotate Cougars vs. Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks

Having just played yesterday, the Rancho Cotate Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Cotate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.4 points per game this season.

Rancho Cotate is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Cardinal Newman just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 60-49 to the Cardinals. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Luke Morie, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Adam Pengel, who earned 19 points.

Meanwhile, Tamalpais also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Ukiah by a score of 55-48. The Red Tailed Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tamalpais' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Rancho Cotate, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.
